DiskSweep for Windows Version 1.03c

Current Revision Information
The latest revision is 1.03c.
Revision 1.03c
Fixes a problem where the program mistakenly limits all sweep floppies to
64 files per floppy. Now this limit scales based on the size of the
floppy. A 1.44MB HD floppy will hold 200 files.
Fixes a problem when continuing sweeps onto the last floppy. There was
name wraparound which would occasionally corrupt the data already on the
floppy.
Fixes a problem when sweeping files over several floppies. Sometimes the
swept file was tagged incorrectly with an earlier floppy in the sequence.
Revision 1.03b
Fixes a problem when sweeping files to floppy and File Verify fails or
the user decides NOT to free the hard disk space. The files left on
the Hard Drive are mistakenly marked swept, causing the File Watcher TSR
to think they are swept. The new version will correctly unmark the files
if the sweep is not completed successfully.
Further, for users who may have some files left in this state by the
earlier versions of DiskSweep, a Fixup command is furnished under the
Advanced Options Dialog. This command looks for any files marked as
swept but which have a size larger than 0 and unmarks them. The command
can be applied at the usual directory, directory tree, volume, or system
levels.
Revision 1.03a
Fixes a problem when sweeping lots of small files to floppy. In some
cases, the capacity of the floppy's root directory was exceeded. Now
there is a limit of 200 files per floppy.
Now in the Cleanup window, when files are selected, the number of
files selected as well as the total space in bytes occupied by those
files are displayed. This will help in estimating the number of floppy
disks needed to SWEEP.

Installation
To install this program, insert this floppy into either the
A: or B: drive. From Windows, in the Program Manager, run
the SETUP.EXE program on the installation floppy. To do this
pull down the File menu and select Run from that menu. In the
dialog box, fill in A:SETUP or B:SETUP, depending on which
drive the floppy is inserted into.
Compatibility
PCTools' DiskFix program is incompatible with DiskSweep.
DiskFix will mistakenly detect corrupted directory structures
and ERASE the entire hard disk. Do not run DiskFix with
DiskSweep installed.
On some machines, the use of FASTOPEN will cause Windows to
freeze when DiskSweep is also running. If you see this
happening, stop using FASTOPEN.
Netroom has a reported incompatibility with DiskSweep which
is currently being investigated.
PCKWIK generates a spurious (harmless) error message at boot
time about DISK A: not ready. Choose Fail to proceed.
DiskSweep is incompatible with WFW 3.11's 32 bit file access.
There are no other known incompatibilities at this time.
